DMCA Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2025

TwtVideoDownloader respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Site to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). Use of our Site is also governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Important Notice — How Our Tool Works

TwtVideoDownloader does not host, store, or cache any media content from X (Twitter). Our tool acts as a real-time pass-through — it fetches publicly available media from X's own servers at the time of the user's request and delivers it directly to the user's device. No files are retained on our servers at any point.

As a result, standard DMCA takedown requests relating to specific media files do not apply to our infrastructure in the traditional sense, as we hold no copies of the content. For the complete list of what we do and do not store, please see our Privacy Policy.

If you wish to have content removed from X itself, you should contact X Corp directly through their official copyright reporting channels.

2. Prohibited Use

Our Terms of Service explicitly prohibit users from using this tool to infringe copyright or download content without the rights holder's permission. Users who violate these terms may be blocked from accessing the Site.

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted content is being made accessible through our Site in a manner that infringes your rights, please submit a written notice containing all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material — the specific URL or tweet link being used with our tool that you believe facilitates infringement.
  3. Your contact information — your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement of good faith — a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement of accuracy — a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  6. Your signature — a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or their authorised representative.

Please send your completed notice via our Contact page. We aim to respond to all valid notices within 5 business days.

4. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe your content was wrongly identified in a DMCA notice, you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction

Submit counter-notices via our Contact page.

5. Repeat Infringers

TwtVideoDownloader reserves the right to block access to users who are found to repeatedly use our service to infringe copyright, in accordance with our Terms of Service.

6. Misrepresentation

Under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages.
